Little Chef and Bit of Ruff had not l et us down and had laid an amazing hash with lots of Long/Short splits\, s o plenty of choice.\nThe Circle Up was uneventful (except I got landed wit h the words!)\, and off we went. I decided to do the Short with Know Nuts not being able to keep up with Olive who is super-fit\, training for the T orquay half-marathon. Olive ran with Ching Chong and was back in reasonabl e time\, which was surprising as Olive got a bat stuck in her hair. It was interesting on the Short: Know Nuts and I coming across unchecked checks - were we in the lead? Jyde thought so\, as he tried to catch us up and fa iled.\nThere was a split in the hash\, with some members choosing to go fo r a swim. I am not sure who really did and who used it as an excuse for be ing late back. Nutcracker\, Rubbery and Twisted Sister definitely did\, wi th Rubbery adding to the moonlight by mooning when changing. Gaffer was re ported to go swimming but this was not corroborated. Apparently\, Wet Spot also went swimming but remained mysteriously dry!\nThe hares had gone out and re-laid the Walk\, which sadly nobody did! Maybe Lactaster should hav e\, as she was reported to have stubbed her toe on a rock and was heard β€˜effing and blinding’ like there was no tomorrow.\nIn other news Dim W it told a driver off for bad driving and driving over his son's cloths\, o nly to see the driver drive into a post and rip his bumper off. The finish at Terawhiti Farm\, Thur lestone offered more shade\, hydration and sweeties\, as well as hugs from No Butt and Mouthful.\n\nBig thanks to Filth\, Zoot and Hotlips for all t he hard work that went into organising and co-ordinating such a brilliant event (both before and during). Thank you\, also\, to Zoot for her words b efore feet hit the trail: an important reminder of the significance of thi s run\, that now takes Rambo's name\, and of the importance of checking in on people and encouraging talk to share the load whenever it's needed.
