SUMMARY:South Hams H4 Hash 1532 - Bring Your Own BBQ Hash - Crooked Spire
DESCRIPTION:Bring your own meat/falafel to cremate on the supplied BBQ’s.
Rolls/salads provided.\nBring Cash for hash bar\nOn Down is at Hekkle &
 amp\; Jydes\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Words accord
 ing to PILTDOWN MAN\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
 n\n\n\n\n🌟 👣  🌟\n\nHASH 1532 - ERMINGTON\nOn our way to Ermingt
on\, the rain was rather persistent as we left Teignmouth. However\, of al
l the BBQs we have had at Hekkel and Jyde’s that I can remember\, the\n
weather has never let us down [Ed. magic of the hash....💫].\nDoggie Sty
le had a choice of the ‘one for the words’  - and I was It [Ed. not
some much choice about that\, eh\, PM?!]. Rubbery was welcomed back. We we
re warned how to avoid the cattle if we wished. That was good\, because Ge
orgy has some history in that respect [Ed. shall we not ask...?].\n\nI joi
ned the Walkers\, eventually\, after heading off trail past the bistro pub
[Ed. why would you want to do something so predictable - and\, y'know\,
time-efficient - as following the trail?]. What followed was a fantastic f
arm experience\, with more breeds seen in a few hundred metres than I ha
ve seen in the last five years or more. From memory: Buff Orpington\, Well
Sussex and Black Rock chickens\; alpacas\, geese and various ducks\; Pygm
y goats with the most gorgeous kids [Ed. yep: outrageously cute]\, and a
miniature sheep breed. Us old-timers on the Walkers trail then thought we
knew the route\, but after a fruitless search at the lower part of a field
\, the ‘Longs’ were seen at the higher part [Ed. Ahhh\, the Longs tak
ing the higher ground: 'twas ever thus...!]\n\nSo it became a CBA [Ed.am h
azarding a guess at 'Can't Be Arsed'...?] moment\, and it was back through
the menagerie of various animals [Ed. any excuse for another dose of mani
fest caprine cuteness!]. GingGang and Goolie had a brief discussion whethe
r to traverse the local rec as there seemed to still be a game of cricket
in progress\, but as the stumps had been removed we think it had finished
[Ed. or been finished...].\n\nAt the BBQ\, the cooking area soon became pa
cked. The beer\, at £2.50\, was great\, and the prepared salads were all
exceptional - all thanks to Hekkel\, by the way! [Ed. salad sorceresss ex
traordinaire!]. There seems to be a desire for some of our somewhat older
and slightly larger members to join various dieting and slimming clubs thi
s year (myself and Georgy included).\n\nGarry Glitter (and her wig [Ed. a
surpsiginyl competent assistant]) was the RA: Py had to turn back becaus
e of frisky bullocks running after her collie. Apparently it was National
Leon day (i.e. Noel\, i.e. Christmas) in six months’ time. We could al
so have Retsae day (Easter) [Ed. so odd\, how hat hasn't caught on...] and
Yam day (May) [Ed. does anyone appreciate them that much?...] Surplus fu
nds raised from the BBQ were to go to Devon Air Ambulance - well done\,
everyone!\n\nDown Downs [of a sort...being comprised wholly of water - wh
ich presumably explains how they came to be omitted from the Scribe's not
es] were awarded to:\n\n Twisted Sister and Lowt'arse - hares\n Hekkel
  and Jyde - consummate hosts\n Gary G - RA\, day-glo wig-wearer\n Nokke
rs - some very good/passable/spurious reason or other\n Eiderdown - nami
ng of Undercovers' wife on the occasion of her 2nd\, possibly 3rd\, hash\n
\nOn on to PLYMBRIDGE! It's a Gaffer trail: Wear a head-torch. And crampon
 s. And your best shoulder-chip 😘...😆😆\n&nbsp\;\n\nPhoto credit: L
