Well done\, Reuben!\n\nWhen they called my name out\, at Circle Up in South Brent\, I quickly hid behind someone - easy for me - hoping they wouldn't see me. No such luck. Should have worn a dark jacket \, not a bright orange one! Oh well\, best to get the Words over with!\n\ nWe met on a crisp\, autumnal night in the station car park\, where our ve ry fashionably dressed GM welcomed us and gave us her usual fun fact. I th ink it was about Wales but can't be sure as I was hiding [Ed. well\, if yo u were only covering your ears\, this - alongside the orange high vis\, ma y go some way to explaining why your efforts to evade detection failed\, G G...?]! Hares Barbarella and Lowt'arse told us it was a relatively short r un tonight\, due to the impending AGPU. Off we went following the lanes\, rivers\, bridges and fields of South Brent. Very enjoyable\, but uneventf ul - and disappointing for the Longs\, who were looking forward to a long lollipop on the way round\, which never materialised! [Ed. au contraire - there was a lollipop\, although the only 'long' aspect of it was the amoun t of time we spent faffing about tying to decide whether to cross the rive r\, on the basis of no marks\, or meander around the similarly flour-beref t grassy wilds of the island]. I had no RA to scrounge misdemeanours off\ , either!\n\nBack to the pub for some hearty grub\, supplied by No Comment and his Jolly Gang.
