SUMMARY:South Hams H4 Hash 1569 - The New Inn
DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Words accordin
 g to LADY GODIVA\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
 \n\n\n🌟 👣  🌟\nHash 1569 - MORELEIGH\nWe\, once more\, valiantly
swam our way to Moreleigh for yet another wet\, wet\, wet Circle Up!\n\nC
hing Chong’s briefing was brilliant - although the RA thought he had su
ddenly found himself in an episode of Ab Fab\, listening to Patsy deliver
the detail… (or lack thereof). Ching Chong had stepped in to lay the ha
sh alone as Squashed Balls was called away to a funeral\, but Can’t Com
e did also help by sweeping up the Longs…and had driven in extra bags of
flour\, on request\, when the marks were washed away during the laying
process!\n\nThe Longs were to be 6.5\; the Shorts 4 and the Walkers 2 mile
 s. Squashed Balls is now identified as  chief consultant to the hares\, a
lthough his advice on the number of bags of flour was not taken on board [
Ed. such flagrant disregard for expert advice...Was it 2 or 3 bags that wa
s recommended?]. They certainly weren’t used for any checks\, as reporte
d by Gaffer\, although rumour has it that 14 bags were used… Enough for
a pancake. anyway! However\, Ching Chong had remortgaged her home for cos
ts - including the down downs! [Ed. all in the usual run of sacrifice to b
 e expected of a hare\, of course...😬].\n\nOn to the hash:\n‘Not enou
gh mud’ was one complaint heard! [Ed. I think you'll find hares for the
next few months are committed to remedying this shortcoming]\n\nThe marks
at the Long/Short split had disappeared [Ed. well\, there had to be some
element of challenge in the absence of those traditional circular ones.
..] \n\nThere was an extremely rocky downhill track that closely resemble
d a river bed/stream\, and the Longs went down to Gara Bridge\, which mean
t a big climb back.\n\nThe Shorts managed to get swept up by the Hare\, so
fortunately avoided getting lost.\n\nShaggy didn’t fall over but got al
l the checks right [Ed. yep\, every last one of them]\, and Undercovers g
ot sucked off….in a bog! [Ed. desperate times\, indeed...] \n\nMuckspre
ader and Overshot had planned to change the OH to a check but couldn’t f
ind it.\n\nOvershot seems to have lost his title [Ed. somewhere...somewher
e in a field in East Allington/Ermington/Dittisham]…and is now just plai
n Mr and not a Lord!\n\nWinnie the Pooh and Oui Oui found a nice boot wa
sh at the end in the Village Hall car park for rinsing out their smalls (
socks and trainers) – see attached photo\, courtesy of Yeuck\n\nSpecial
thanks to Jeremy\, Bridget and the staff at the New Inn for hosting us for
Down Downs.\n\nA Fact: David Brain the local weatherman has said it will
be dry on Saturday…(and\, as of writing this today [Ed. yesterday]\, he
got that right!) [Ed. such a relief to see\, today (Sunday)\, that norma
l 2026 service has resumed and the mud is no longer at risk of dehydration
.]\n\nHashers were reminded to sign the Petition for the Torcross line tha
t the local MP is appealing for: https://www.carolinevoaden.com/coastal-e
rosion-at-start-bay [Ed. Please consider signing if you haven't already..
.]\n\nBirthdays celebrations were sung to…Good Head for tomorrow [Ed.
Thursday]\n\nBadcock was a virgin A2B-er at the weekend and reported it wa
s the furthest he had ever run! 🎉\nDown Downs were awarded to:-\n\n\n
  	Ching Chong &amp\; Can’t Come - Hares\n Squashed Balls - Hare Consul
