HASH 1508 – TORCROSS
A few foolhardy souls braved the wind and the rain at Torcross last Wednesday.
Circle up also coincided with the high tide, so we were treated to waves thumping on the sea defences
and soaking any hasher silly enough to try and get a sea view.
On on to the hash and there were sighs of relief when Dirty Nights announced there was an alternative route to running along the sea wall, although I think I vaguely heard Gaffer saying something about those that skipped the salty shower not being real hashers (or was it RearEntry?!).
The FRBs were accused of making up the trail. They seemed pretty happy with their effort on the trail when they returned to the pub, and it was at the Down Downβs we could see why: Strava showed they had gone up Berylβs back passage – not once, but twice.
During the Down Downs, Gaffer complained (which is unusual) that what was the point of limiting the trail length if the Walkers came straight back to the pub (had he seen the weather?!).
There were several hasher sporting injuries this week, notably Rusty who had tripped on thin air during her run earlier in the week. Not wanting to burden her colleagues or add to the long queues at MIU, Rusty took her own x-ray and treated herself! Boaty also braved the trail, only to be taken out by a stick. He valiantly managed to stay on his feet, but was cruelly compared to a Weeble!
Down Downs were awarded to:
Boaty β For wobbling but not falling down
Rusty β For saving the NHS time
Dirty Nights β Hare
Lactaster β Hare
Overshot β Something to do with running on the road
Yeuk β Not sure, maybe for having to put up with Gaffer!
On on to IVYBRIDGE.
