Hash 1577 – STOKENHAM

Only a little embellishment from me this week. Also, the committee would like to extend their thanks to Nice Tackle for RA’ing on the night.

Special thanks were given to Beth, Mike and team at the lovely Church House, Stokenham!

Dirty Nights was certainly on the ball and up at sparrow’s fart laying the trail (‘sparrow’s fart’s a new one on me!). Not sure about Lactaster, who wasn’t aware where she left her cows…

Special mention went to Lactaster’s son, James, who not only helped lay the hash but ran it, too. (Ed. Top effort. And one less sweetie-snaffler at the excellent beer stop 😘 [although he had definitely learnt them!]) What fantastic views we were treated to heading over those freshly drilled fields.

Nice Tackle particularly enjoyed the night’s Hash – especially when De-briefed realised they were FRBs out there.

Mr Softee and Pocket Rocket ran past their house on the Longs, and rumour had it that they tried contacting the hares to arrange another beer stop, maybe to save having to run the final stretch to the pub…

Ching Chong has a nice shiny new car but was rather anxious parking it as didn’t want to get too close to other hashers’ vehicles (Ed. this observation might seem ripe for a bit of additional gentle ridicule, but I am fully aware that it’s an especially fragile glass house I stand in…) There was a nice big space next to my car – the one with the dent and near the rusty pillar… No? Didn’t fancy that?

Good Shag had a good night getting all the checks right! (Ed. please do feel free to run up front every week!)

Not naming names but some hashers went to the wrong pub…(Tradesman’s) – not the first time!

Down downs went to:

• Lactaster & Dirty Nights – hares (and diminutive soft-drink down downs for the little hash helpers, James and Megan)
• Shitname (PH3) – for travelling all this way
• Matilda – (Gary’s Granddaughter)
