Ed. For a veteran wordsmith of Beefy’s calibre, the below is a remarkably bijou edition of the Words, but I think elegantly captures the prevailing theme of heat exhaustion (i.e. he has exhausted every synonym for heat in the Thesaurus…and apparently a slightly dated cookbook he happened to have to hand[?!])
Hash 1588 – ERMINGTON
Hash 1588 took place at Ermington with a trail laid by Lowt’arse and TwistedSister with a BBQ at Hekkyl and Jyde’s.
The only way to describe proceedings was Warm, Heated, Scorching, Boiling, Burning, Blazing, Sizzling, Sweltering, Fiery, Toasty, Broiling, Steamy, Sultry, Tropical, Sun-baked, Baking, Roasting, Stifling, Oppressive, Torrid, Scalding, Piping hot, Red-hot, White-hot, Molten, Smouldering, Incandescent, Feverish, Overheated, Blistering, Simmering, Flaming, Heat-soaked, Summer-like, Balmy, Swelteringly warm, Warmed through, Heat-filled, Sun-drenched, High-temperature. 31 degrees at the start and 28 at the BBQ.
A good time was had by all. Especially those who spent more time frolicking in the river than running.
Another epic evening’s run with South Hams Athletics Club.
Down Downs were awarded to:

- Twisted Sister – Hare
- Oui Oui – sewage-scented swim
- Dirty Bum Bum – some other miscellaneous crime
- Gary Glitter – RA privilege
