General themes of the meeting:
Circle up checkers – Winnie has volunteered to be a checker at the beginning of circle-up and count hashers back in alongside Rusty, Doggy Style, Whisperer. We would welcome anyone who would like to get involved in this role please let Doggy Style know.

The website has had a considerable amount of work undertaken by Barberella and has been tidied and the duplicates removed to make life easier when finding information. A term of reference is being worked on after the visit to the Solicitors. The H&S team went along to the Solicitors to see where we would be covered and protected should anyone have an accident. This message will be delivered at Circle Up by Blown Off this Wednesday. The website is in working progress and will be continually tweaked as and when.

Alongside the H&S it has been agreed that some of the committee will be going on an Outdoors First Aid Course and we are looking for 9 non-committee members to go on this training. This training will be subsidised by the hash and if you would like to gain a qualification in an outside First Aid Course, please share your interest with the GM. This is a full-days course. Dates to be arranged.

The First Aid Box will be checked by Doggy Style to ensure it is complete.

The insurance is due for renewal in June/July and this is also being looked at by the H&S team. Documents are with BO.

Suggestions
The committee have agreed on a process that if anyone has any suggestions or comments, they wish to make we encourage you to do this in writing to the GM’s e-mail address ONLY and found on the website and this will be brought to the next committee for full agreement and appropriate action will be taken. This should prevent any rumours and cut down further noise.

Charities The charities agreed for this financial year are Pancreatic Cancer and Children’s Hospice Southwest agreed by the previous committee members. It has been discussed that the next chosen charities will be more local to benefit local people. There will be a nomination for hashers to come up with the ideas of future charities and a vote will be made to ensure the appropriate charity is selected. To date, we have over £650 to share between the two charities. A final update will be shared after the red dress run. Last year we raised £1500 for two charities agreed by the last committee £1000 was presented in London by Jyde and Hekyll for the Amyloid charity and £500 for Pete’s Dragon.

Social Events – there will be a new Hot Cross Bun hash on Good Friday. More details will follow.
The usual camping weekend is being sourced by the social secretary and more details to follow.
The usual Fireworks and Guy Fawkes event will return this year.
The committee has agreed that unless a deposit is made at the time of booking no names will be added to the list. This will ensure that we have enough numbers to run an event, and should a cancellation be made, it will mean your deposit is forfeited unless you can find someone to take your place.
After a successful weekend in Torbaydos, we will be sending out a questionnaire for you as hashers to suggest some new ideas to take forward for social events. This is your hash, and we would appreciate your feedback and new ideas of what you would like to see going forward.

The awards for those who did not join us were the following on the red carpet:
Snazzy Trainer with t-shirt – Dimmers
Best Newcomer with t-shirt – Nice Tackle
Fastest Walker with t-shirt – Nokkers
Retiring GM with t-shirt – Rizzo

All other certificates given were for an appreciation of thanks on behalf of the committee for example Rusty and Ching Chong for checking in and out. These jobs are invaluable and support for us all.

T-shirts are now all up to date with just one which is still on order.
