As this Hasher arrived in Ringmore, Goolie said that there would be no sweeper tonight and we soon
found out why. I had spent the best part of the last 3 weeks absorbed by the Tour de France and its
various climbs of upto 20% gradient. Little did I know I was in for the Tour de Ringmore. 4 major
climbs of 20% plus and 2 at nearly 50%, this required true effort to be Kings and Queens of these
Mountains – obviously a job for Re-Entry.
We had fighting dogs (Tight Arse and Boaty), scary cows, sheep and even a snake that was recently
stamped upon by Overshot(?). Kissing gates were too tight for this hasher to use as intended,
struggling to get through without a big intake of breath first.
It was lovely to yet again get a complete tour of Chez Challarbra with it’s neatly manicured paths and
we were all offered a shot of run with a toast to the Queen.
To the On Down and Running Late was losing his mind as he accused everyone in sight of the theft of
his lager, before being reunited with it after finally checking back where he had left it.
Congratulations to Rusty Bottom on her 100th run. Congratulations for Ging Gang and Goolie &
Barbie and Barberella for spending many years together.
A wonderful hash laid by Goolie and Vindaloo, joined for Down Downs by Rusty Bottom, Dirty Boy,
Steve and his family of Virgins.
On-On to South Brent (again)
